Saturday I arrived at Wichita International airport and was met by my client and dear friend Doyle Rogers. Doyle is an artist whose passion is making trees. Understand these are no ordinary trees. They are trees made from stainless steel. His shop is two hours north of the airport.
We got to his place, dumped my lights, stands and stuff and headed off to tour the nearby windmill farm. The skies were closing in with overcast and I worried about the shoot. Those thoughts were confirmed as I shot this photograph of some of the seventy or so windmills. That’s the last sun I was to see until next Friday. Ah well. I love this shot!

Be solid! Hold your camera the right way
Sharp photos start with a stable camera. When the camera moves, the picture it takes has some movement blur. High shutter speeds minimize the effect of camera movement, but they do not eliminate it. Here’s how to hold your camera steady.
