Location shoots are full of surprises, often in a good way.
I was photographing six of Atlanta’s most eligible singles at the W Hotel Midtown as an editorial feature for Jezebel magazine. I’d already photographed Jeffery Fenn, CEO of Kindred Hospital, Kelly Reed, Senior Project Marketing Manager for AT&T, Atlanta Falcons’ cheerleader Devon, and was setting up to make this one of Tania Richardson of Liberty House Restaurant Corp. Tova Gelfond my amazing editor at Jezebel pulled me aside and introduced me to the producer of Bravo Network’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta. They were going to shoot Tania’s photography session. I might be on TV nationwide. Nice surprise wouldn’t you say?
As it worked out, I am on the show. There is a clip of the session on Bravo’s website. Watch it here…
Be solid! Hold your camera the right way
Sharp photos start with a stable camera. When the camera moves, the picture it takes has some movement blur. High shutter speeds minimize the effect of camera movement, but they do not eliminate it. Here’s how to hold your camera steady.
